Executive Officers

The Executive Officers of COG shall be the President, Treasurer, and Secretary. These three officers are ex officio members of the Board of Directors.

The duties of the President shall be:

  1. To ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of COG.
  2. To maintain good relations with the Student Union.
  3. To chair meetings of the Board of Directors.
  4. To serve as the public face of COG and represent COG to the University community.

The duties of the Treasurer shall be:

  1. To be the designated Student Union Financial Liaison for COG.
  2. To handle COG finances in a matter consistant with the will of the Board of Directors.
  3. To accompany Task Force leaders to all Student Union financial meetings.

The duties of the Secretary shall be:

  1. To make publically available all COG records and documents.
  2. To maintain the COG web site and give web space to Task Force leaders.
  3. To maintain the Constitution.
  4. To maintain the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors.

None of these duties may be transferred or delegated, with the following exception: should the President be unavailable to chair a meeting of the Board of Directors, the Treasurer shall chair. Should the Treasurer be unavailable, the Secretary shall chair. Should no Executive Officer be available, a meeting of the Board of Directors may not take place.
