The Board of Directors of COG shall consist of the three Executive Officers and the leader of each Task Force. One person may represent more than one Task Force. Each Task Force is granted one vote, which is cast by the Task Force leader on behalf of the Task Force.
The Board of Directors shall officially meet at least once each month during the academic year.
- All official meetings of the Board of Directors shall be announced by the Secretary at least five academic days in advance and be open to the entire membership.
- Any meeting at which substantive issues are voted upon is an offical meeting.
- No official meeting may take place without a simple majority of the Task Force leaders and at least one Executive Officer, who shall serve as chair.
The duties of the Board of Directors shall be:
- To publicize COG and assist Task Forces in publicizing their events.
- To maintain a list of all COG property, and to manage said property.
- To hold official COG Executive Officer elections.
- To hold regular meetings.
- To approve or deny requests to approach the Student Union for money by a simple majority of the Board.
- To manage all COG money and direct the Treasurer in how such money may be spent.
- To create or destroy Task Forces by a 2/3 majority vote.
The Chair may not vote except to break a tie.
The Board of Directors may delegate any of its duties to an individual or a Task Force by a simple majority vote, but the Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the execution of all its duties.
